Excuse me, It's Rude To Stare!

People like to stare. That's a conclusion that I can make after I went out with my daughter today for a stress-relieve trip to Subang Parade & Empire Shopping Mall. Seriously, people like to stare! Throughout my entire trip today, a lot of people keep staring at me. Excuse me, but I'm not vain ok.. But, obviously something is wrong when people keep staring at you. Is it my tudung? I keep checking myself in the mirror. Did I spill something? Did I got something on my face? Then, there were people who stared at me, then at my daughter, then at me again.. Oh, I get it, the resemblance is undeniable. But do you have to be that obvious? When people keep looking at my daughter, I stopped and checked on her. Is anything wrong with her? Did she fell asleep? These staring games is actually quite stressful. I actually stopped a few times to check if there's something wrong with her.

I, myself, does look at other people too. But I don't stare! I try to make an effort not to even look directly at the person (if the person is actually worth to look at!) and just take a glance. It's uncomfortable being stared at. If you were only looking at my baby, then it's fine. Maybe they are gushing over how cute she is.. Hihi... But staring directly at an adult will cause confusion and also insecurities. I assume staring & looking at other people is a common habit in Malaysia especially. But when I went to Singapore, they totally ignore you! Which is good, which means that they are not kepochis! Even when I went to Bandung, they don't stare. They look at you & they smile. In a friendly way.

So, if you are the kind of person who likes to stare or look so much directly at other people, please do stop.. It's annoying and disturbing. Just mind your own business. Or if you do have to look (if you just can't resist it), just take a short glance or you can slip in a little comment to accompany your stare. Like for example; "oh, what a cute baby!", or "sorry, but you have a smudge lipstick".
Easy right? So, DON'T STARE, IT'S RUDE!
